2022 GSE UK Conference: Mainframes are MAD - Modern, Adaptable, Diverse
1st November 2022 - 3rd November 2022
The theme of the GSE UK Annual Conference 2022 is ‘Mainframes are MAD – Modern, Adaptable, Diverse‘ and it will be held as two separate conferences: 1st-3rd November 2022 (in-person) and 7th-9th February 2023 (Virtual).
We’ve chosen to focus these events on the theme ‘Mainframes are MAD – Modern, Adaptable, Diverse’ for the following reasons:
M is for Modern: today’s mainframe is a thoroughly modern platform, ‘the core of trusted digital experiences’. Fast, secure and resilient, it’s the heart of so many organisations. The system of record, the mighty transactional engine, providing real-time analytics for personalised digital experiences.
A is for Adaptable: the modern mainframe is also an extremely flexible and versatile platform – from System/360 to z15 it has moved with the times and reinvented itself decade after decade. It’s a trusted hub for the latest digital transformations and so often the lynchpin of today’s cloud strategies.
D is for Diverse: from banking, insurance and financial markets to healthcare, retail, travel and utilities, the modern mainframe is put to work in a multitude of ways. From supporting the surge in online retail and transactions during the pandemic to supporting patient care and life-saving research.
The November in-person Conference will be held at Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire near to the Silverstone Grand Prix racing circuit from Tuesday November 1st to Thursday November 3rd, 2022. As with previous in-person Conferences, all the GSE UK Working Groups will be part of our multi-stream agenda, with several keynotes presented by industry leaders and offering plenty of time for networking.
The virtual Conference will be in a similar format to the previous two years and will be held on Tuesday 7th to Thursday 9th February 2023, with the virtual sessions being held in eight virtual Zoom rooms.
If you’re a vendor both events offer a fantastic opportunity to showcase your mainframe products and services: full details of of sponsorship opportunities are on the conference web site.
Click here for all the details on the Call for Papers for the both events, which has also been issued.
Registration for the in-person event at Whittlebury Hall and hotel bookings will open in June.
