The next GSE UK Security Working Group meeting will take place on Thursday 27th February 2025 from 9am to 5pm (UK time) at the BMC’s offices in Winnersh, UK.

Last year’s Conference was the best one yet and this year’s will be even better. The 2024 Conference theme is ‘Mainframe@60: The Diamond Anniversary of Digital Dominance’.

There will be ten parallel streams during the three days with each session lasting for one hour.  Registration will be free for GSE members but a small charge will be made for non-members to cover our expenses.  Access to session videos will be free for GSE members and for two months after the conference for non-member delegates.

GSE Europe is launching this special conference in Dresden, Germany, with with a newly changed and updated concept – as parts of this event are elevated to a pan-European level!

The  2023 In Person GSE UK Conference will take place between the 30th October and 2nd November 2023.

Unfortunately, the GSE UK Application Development Working Group (ADWG) meeting on Tuesday 5th September 2023 has been postponed.

In this session we will discuss the latest z/OS 3.1 enhancements. We will cover enhancements to usability, scalability, performance, availability, application development, systems management, security and networking.

This session will be presented by Gary Puchkoff from IBM. Gary is an experienced Operating Systems and Technology Visionary with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. He is the creator of WebSphere Application Server on z/OS, inventor of z Application Assist Processor, Architect of z/OS Management Facility, and creator of z/OS Container Extensions for running Linux workloads directly in z/OS.
